Your First Visit

Welcome

It's your first visit to Family Chiropractic of Wethersfield and you are still wondering what you have signed up for. The many questions you have about chiropractic care will be answered by Dr. LaVoie during your first visit to the office.

To start, once you get to your appointment you will be greeted by one of our friendly Chiropractic Assistants.  They will have some paperwork for you to fill out (they are available for download here if you want to fill them out beforehand.) Next, we have a short, informational video for you to watch. This five-minute video may answer many of the questions or concerns you have before meeting with Dr. LaVoie.  You will then meet with Dr. LaVoie, he will sit with you and answer any remaining questions that you have, give you a complete chiropractic exam, and administer a few small range of motion and orthopedic tests. You're almost done with your first visit, and it's only been about twenty minutes.  Dr. LaVoie will palpate your spine for any subluxations and will then take a set of chiropractic x-rays if necessary. Your first visit is over. We will listen to all that you have to say, answer any questions that you have as thoroughly as we can, and try to make you as comfortable as we can. We like to think of our patients as family. If there is a problem that is interfering with your wellness then we want to know about it so we can help you fix it.

Chiropractic care is a wonderful tool in the fight for your health and well being. However, it can not fix everything. If, during the course of your exam we find a condition that requires a different type of intervention, other than chiropractic, we will gladly refer you to the proper healthcare specialist. Remember, we are here for you and your best interests.
